(my) guest post: "Press Select"

Writer and student Feliza Casano maintains a blog collecting her own and others' experiences with professional and freelance writing: from marketing pitches to the art of the novel and now, video game scriptwriting. While I've addressed my own game design endeavors and experiences before on this blog, it's not until now that I've attempted to quantify exactly how one goes about writing the script and story of a game. Most of it is about formatting concerns, but the type of game you're designing has a huge impact on what the script format looks like anyway, so genre and mechanics content comes into play as well (haha). So long story short, Feliza gave me a few hundred words to discuss the subject of game writing where it should be discussed: on a writerly sort of blog.

And if you're into writerly sorts of things anyway, you should totally follow her blog! She's classy, dedicated, and knows what she writes. Actually, she's currently very close to attaining an internship at the Huffington Post, so if you feeling like clicking your mouse two more times, you can anonymously vote up her about.me page.
